Valves are elliptical-lanceolate, margins convex, with apices protracted and rostrate. The axial area is narrow at the apices, widening slightly towards the center, where a round central area is present. The raphe is straight and filiform with external proximal ends rounded. Striae are indistinctly punctate, curved and radiate throughout the length of the valve.
