Striae in 10 µm: 20-25
Larger valves are linear, while smaller valves are elliptical. Apices are rounded, but are not protracted or differentiated from the rest of the valve. Fibulae are large, with the middle fibula larger and more distinct than the others. Fibulae number 8-10 in 10 µm. Striae are parallel at the center of the valve, arched near the poles (evident especially in smaller cells).
