Expertise in isolation and complex culture methods for microorganisms, cyanobacteria and green algae. Strengths include advanced knowledge in microbiological/phycological study design, implementation, data collection, management, statistical analysis, and report writing; development and application of novel algal quantification method for stream bioassessment; discoveries of numerous new to the science diatoms and green algal species.
