Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises. – Pedro Calderon de la Barca
I am currently a graduate student at the Stream Ecology and Assessment Laboratory (SEAL) at California State University, Long Beach. I am studying the potential effects that polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have on the biodiversity of diatom communities. I will also be focusing on their teratological morphologies after chemical exposure. I am also interested in benthic macroinvertebrates and how they are used as biological indicators.
Basically, I am a huge nature lover. Being a biologist allows me to contribute to science, but more importantly do what I love.
