A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth’s eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. - Henry David Thoreau
I am pursuing a MS in Water Resource Science at the University of Minnesota Duluth. My research interests include using paleolimnology as a tool to better understand changing water quality conditions due to anthropogenic influences, especially in the Lake Superior watershed. I am currently working with Dr. Euan Reavie at the Natural Resources Research Institute using diatoms as indicators of past and present water quality in the St. Louis River of Minnesota.
